At the initial office consultation with Dr. Chidyllo and his staff, a review of your medical history will be performed along with a discussion about and the issues that concern you. The consultation is an exchange of information between the patient and the doctor and a regional examination is performed. Patients consult with Dr. Chidyllo from all over the East coast. If you are coming from out of town and need to make overnight hotel reservations, either for the consultation or prior to or after the day of your surgery, our staff can give you recommendations as to where to stay.
If you are being evaluated as a second opinion surgery or after a prior surgical procedure, not performed by our office, you are required to acquire all of your prior surgeons’ medical and operative records and bring them with you to the consultation. If prior testing was performed prior to your consultation (MRI or CT Scans) please bring copies of the actual films with you to the consultation.
The consultation process can last between 30 minutes to over one hour. Please be at the office at least 15 minutes before your initial consultation to process all of the necessary registration forms. Please bring all of your health insurance information if pertinent. A photo identification is now required by law, in order to be treated in our office. You should contact the office immediately if you are going to be late or need to change your date or time. This office time is being scheduled for you, we do not over or double book. If you are going to be late, we will make every attempt to see you on that date, however you need to realize that the patients who are in our office on time will be treated first.
Dr. Chidyllo examines new and follow up patients in the office on Monday afternoons/evenings and Thursday mornings. If you need an evening appointment it will be arranged of a Monday. Surgery is performed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please review our web site prior to your appointment.
